When Africa was named ‘Darkest Africa’, it wasn’t because of the lack of sunlight … but the lack of God.
PS 18:28 For You will light my lamp; The LORD my God will enlighten my darkness.
God sent great missionaries to Darkest Africa, to enlighten the darkness in the hearts of its inhabitants…and were they successful? After nearly two hundred years, the battle still rages… LIGHT verses DARK. And I am not talking about skin color here; I am talking about something far more sinister.
When the Psalmist wrote PS 107:14 He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, And broke their chains in pieces. He was talking of the absence of light; darkness … the opposite of God, Who is Light …Satan and the binding ability of Satan. Satan is a formidable enemy and if we don’t understand how he operates we cannot stand up to him.
When I was in the Rhodesian army, I was well drilled and understood exactly who the enemy was. If you today claim to be in the Army of God …do you fully understand who the enemy is? The answer to this question is, I believe, an unequivocal and resounding NO… No we have little or no idea of the enemy of God and how he works. It is something few churches talk of today …it has become taboo…a no no subject. So divorce, sexual immorality, theft and idolatry runs rife in the church today because noone will stand and address the problem…Satanic influence.
It is to our everlasting shame in the Christian Church in Africa, and possibly worldwide, that we don’t know who the enemy is. We simply do not understand the ammunition we have, or the God given ability to use it against him. The greatest deception in the church today is that Satan is totally defeated…that demons and evil spirits no longer exist…and in any case Christians are safe from them …If you believe this, you are deceived. Jesus warns us in the Holy Scriptures about deception Luke 21:8a And He said: “Take heed that you not be deceived.
Satan and his demons even enter and preach in some of your churches …not because I say so, but because Holy Scripture says so 2COR 11:13 For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into apostles of Christ. 11:14 And no wonder! For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light.
Ask yourself this very simple question “What did Jesus order His Disciples to do when they were in the mission field”? If you answered; heal the sick, raise the dead and cast out demons you are correct. MT 10:8 “Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give.
Did Jesus ever rescind this order? Not in my Bible He didn’t; and if you require clarity on this matter please consider the very last words that Jesus spoke on earth before leaving it to go to His Father in Heaven Mark 16:15 And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.
16:16 “He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned.
16:17 “And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues;
16:18 “they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”
Now if you believe there are no demons to cast out; then Jesus must have been talking nonsense. To even think that is heretical!! So then we have to believe it. The death and subsequent resurrection of Jesus on the cross did not put an end to Satan and his demons; if it had, then Jesus would not have mentioned it and He would not have said “In My Name they will cast out demons”. Up until this very day that order has not been rescinded; and in army terms …it is still on Standing Orders.
Africa is a continent of satanic witchcraft, demon possession, ancestor worship and evil personified. And until we know how to deal with it, we will have our Idi Amins and Robert Gabriel Mugabes, to name only two of its satanic emissaries. We have simply forgotten how to fear God !! The only One who can send you and your soul to hell.
MT 10:28 “And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.
I am not asking you to fear Satan and his demons, or give them any undue recognition…I am asking you to understand their major influence, and what they are doing, in Africa.
This continent of Africa needs prayer like never before in its history. Please, starting today, make a vow to pray for Africa every day; that ‘God’s will be done in Africa, as it is in Heaven’ and ‘Deliver us from evil’…Amen. That is how Jesus taught us to pray.
Now PLEASE pass this request on to those you think are caring people…let’s start making a difference in Africa…TODAY.
ONE PRAYER AT A TIME.
