Something very alarming is happening in Christendom, and I have found it spreading alarmingly on the internet ….Christian Zionism
I will be the first to admit that there was a time in my Christian walk where I was overly passionate about the Jews…but day by day God is showing me the errors of my ways…It is sometimes a frightening walk; because what is being revealed to me goes against what I have been taught and understood in the past as a Dispensationalist. For example that God has a separate plan for the Gentiles and for the Jews and those who are ‘Raptured”, and those who are so called ‘left behind’…but this is simply not so… It is taught throughout the scriptures that God is no respecter of persons. Do we think that at the Judgment, He will give rich people the place of honor; when it is taught in James that it is wrong to be a respecter of people because of their wealth? Do we think that He will allow kings and presidents to stand before Him without bended knee – when the Bible says; every knee will bow and every tongue will confess Christ as Lord? No…absolutely not …God is not a respecter of people and Paul knew this all too well GAL 3:28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.
COL 3:11 where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcised nor uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave nor free, but Christ is all and in all.
If God is not a respecter of people, but loves everyone 2 Pet 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance… then what is it that makes Zionists single out the Jews for special attention?… could it be that they simply do not understand the reason for the sacrifice of Jesus upon the cross?…Remember well the words of Jesus MT 15:24 But He answered and said, “I was not sent except to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.” But John tells us exactly what happened JN 1:11 He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him. And as a consequence the doors of God’s Grace were opened to the Gentiles… Matt 21:43 “Therefore I say to you, the kingdom of God will be taken from you and given to a nation bearing the fruits of it.
Christian Zionists insist that the Torah is their Holy Scripture of preference; and that Jesus having been a Jew should be referred to as Yeshua…and that we should adhere to the ten commandments or Law, as written in the Torah …but what did Jesus say about the Law?… MT 5:17 “Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill. When Jesus said that He had come to fulfill the Law, He condensed the ten commandments, The Law, into two categories ….LOVE God; LOVE your neighbor…
LK 10:27 So he answered and said, ” ‘You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind,’ and ‘love your neighbor as yourself.’ ”
Paul explained this to the Jews in Rome…
ROM 13:10 Love does no harm to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfillment of the law
Jesus fulfilled the New Covenant in His blood upon the Cross of Calvary…It was this New covenant that God told the Prophets of old about Jer31:33 “But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the LORD: I will put My law in their minds, and write it on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. And why should He do this? Because 1JN 4:8 He who does not love does not know God, for God is love.
Please, dear reader, take time to digest the following verses from Mark
Mark 12:28 Then one of the scribes came, and having heard them reasoning together, perceiving that He had answered them well, asked Him, “Which is the first commandment of all?”
12:29 Jesus answered him, “The first of all the commandments is: ‘Hear, O Israel, the LORD our God, the LORD is one.
12:30 ‘And you shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ This is the first commandment.
12:31 “And the second, like it, is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.”
12:32 So the scribe said to Him, “Well said, Teacher. You have spoken the truth, for there is one God, and there is no other but He.
12:33 “And to love Him with all the heart, with all the understanding, with all the soul, and with all the strength, and to love one’s neighbor as oneself, is more than all the whole burnt offerings and sacrifices.”
God wants only your Full unquestioning love for Him and love for your fellow man …He is no longer interested in sacrifices, nor what day you set aside as the Sabbath
Whilst Zionists encourage Saturday worship and adherence only to the Torah…they also are encouraging the building of a new Temple in Jerusalem to reinstitute animal sacrifices!!
HEB 8:13 In that He says, “A new covenant,” He has made the first obsolete. Now what is becoming obsolete and growing old is ready to vanish away
Do Christian Zionist and their fellow Dispensationalists maintain that OT covenants are solely for the present physical nation of Israel? … not realizing that the Israel of God is not a country, but a people…Those that adhere to His commandments of love ….That You Love Him with all your Heart, mind and soul and love your neighbor as you would yourself …this is the true Israel of God…The true Church…
EPH 2:19 Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners (Gentiles), but fellow citizens with the saints (Believing Jews) and members of the household of God,.
HEB 9:15 And for this reason He is the Mediator of the new covenant, by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions under the first covenant, that those who are called may receive the promise of the eternal inheritance. And your eternal inheritance is not a piece of land in a present day country called Israel …but in the New Jerusalem …that comes down out of Heaven from God…
Do not allow anyone to criticize you for not reading the Torah…or not observing the Saturday Sabbath…or becoming ‘Judeo-Christian’ by incorporating Hebraisms into your liturgy…or maintaining that if you do not bless the Jews specifically, you will be cursed…utter nonsense…Your mandate from God is to go and make Disciple and that includes the Jews…they need salvation just as do all sinners…they are not special; stop making them so …you are hindering their salvation not encouraging it…
JN 3:16 “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
There is no better time than right now to spread the Gospel; why not do it?
